Compare using the same text
Compare the actual words you intend to use rather than choosing by a font’s name. Look at capital flourishes, the descenders in g and y, and readability at a small print size. The comparison cards above all use the same input so these differences are easier to judge.
A font is not a handwriting lesson
These eight fonts are design tools for cards, signs, and lettering ideas. The stroke guide uses separate hand-drawn models. It does not promise a stroke-by-stroke method for reproducing every flourish in a decorative font.
Will the recipient need the same font?
Downloaded SVGs contain paths rather than live text, so the recipient does not need the font installed. PNG is convenient in apps that do not support SVG. If you distribute the font files themselves, follow each font’s original license.
